Applying for a Work Permit

If you are looking to move to the Turks and Caicos with the objective of working while you are here, there are a few things to know.

Jobs are generally only given to foreign nationals which are required and not readily available on island. These permits are approved for 1-2 years, and are covered by the employer and may be renewed at the end of the term.

The fees for work permits range from $1000 to $10,000 USD, depending on the type of role you are taking. After 10 years of work permits, individuals may apply for a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) which would eliminate the need for further permits.

For self employed individuals, the process is very similar. Work permit fees are just over 10k, but do not require you to show the job cannot be filled by a Turks Islander.
